As an experienced data analyst, you are ready to kick-off a new adventure in a fast-paced environment where you can work with the latest machine learning technologies and data science tools.

Job description

  1. You will be part of our Data Science Team and you are passionate about machine learning and data analysis.
  2. Using advanced data analytics, you will form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights about user behavior and user segmentation. As a marketing data scientist, you will explore relations between users and their preferences, discover interesting segments, perform advanced clustering and dimensionality reduction techniques.
  3. You will carry out research that will improve our general understanding of our users, and communicate your findings to other team members in order to initiate new platform development cycles.
  4. You will apply your statistical and mathematical background to real-life big-data problems, and use your machine learning knowledge on a day to day basis.
  5. You will work closely & interact with our Data Engineering Team as your work is used to improve our models and is pushed through our release process.
  6. Your main objectives will be the design and implementation of data mining and analysis algorithms and the communication of reports and quality metrics for current production processes.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  1. You have a masters degree or PhD in computer science or related field.
  2. You are an expert in advanced analytics and are experienced in hypothesis testing.
  3. You possess a deep understanding of clustering, manifold learning and predictive modeling techniques.
  4. You have good knowledge of and experience with any of Python, Matlab or R.
  5. You have a strong mathematical background and analytical mindset.
  6. You are fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
  7. You can work independently and take matters into your own hands.
  8. The ability to quickly learn new technologies and successfully implement them is essential.

Bonus

Experience with any of the following is considered a plus:

  • Advanced Python knowledge and experience
  • Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib
  • Experience with Spark or the Hadoop eco-system

Your Function:

After an intensive onboarding you will take the technical lead on a daily basis on our marketing database clients.  You will be part of our customer engagement department and you will work in close collaboration with our external clients but also with our sales & marketing team.

 

Your responsibilities are:

·         Integration of all incoming data (files) into the database which includes all the related check and reporting processes.

  • To perform (program, run, quality check and delivery) all the “output” processes that are not done by the client: addresses selections, counting and reporting.
  • Providing marketing data consultancy to clients and help them in their cross-channel campaign management strategy and execution.
  • Delivering targeted marketing campaigns and insights on their effectiveness through database reports and analytics.
  • Being responsible for the technical execution of these activities and their quality assurance.

Your Profile:

  • has some years of proven relevant experience

  • is familiar with relational databases and SQL

Doctors without Borders project (MSF) – Working sessions in Sept – October 2014

Another great news. SĂ©bastien managed to get another great NGO to benefit from our expertise.

Roll up your sleeves because we will have our first working session on sept 25th @transformabxl starting 18:00 ending 22:00 .

Members of our community will have access to different marketing databases from MSF and will be challenged to identify interesting deliveries.

We will work on this data for 4 evenings, on Thursdays starting sept 25th.

The consultant will support the Marketing department in adding and maintaining master data and will be responsible for the collection, analysis, reporting and tracking of data quality. It’s a challenging project for 6 months with potential extension and would suit a senior data analyst. 

Responsibilities include: 

* Validate the accuracy of data received from various sources in accordance with a set of data quality guidelines. 
* Identify duplicate records utilizing prebuilt and tailored data matching rules and formulate a corresponding clean-up strategy. 
* Define and execute data quality procedures that will assure the accuracy and reliability of our database. 
* Develop solutions to acquire new data in a manner that is compatible with achieving the desired quality targets. 
* Match incoming data feeds with existing content for allocation, enrichment, and de-duplication purposes. 
* Manage data publication tasks by collaborating with a cross-functional team of developers, analysts and SMEs. 
* Promote continuous improvement through research and analysis of queries and data quality control 
* Servicing ad-hoc data requests with a fast turnaround combined with the ability to work on more structural solutions that will allow us to tackle data problems before they occur. 
* Work effectively within teams or by yourself, proactively identifying and resolving problems. 
* Root cause analysis, process re-engineering, and developing new technical enablers will be pivotal to this role.

PostgreSQL / MySQL SQL (DDL, DML). 
Advanced Excel e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP(), MATCH(), INDEX(), Array functions, etc.
