MISSION
The Analyst Hospital Business contributes to the company financial and commercial success by providing management with clear, objective financial and business data to support the decision process in the hospital business.
The Analyst Hospital Business function is a cross-departmental role, in close relationship with the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance department.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Review and monitoring of current KPIs
  • Review sales force performance, identify needs and suggest improvements
  • Analyze stakeholders needs and propose new initiatives to meet them 
  • Raise attention to risks and opportunities
  • Investigate and suggest improvements
  • Identify and follow-up key market drivers and performance indicators
    Monitoring of profitability of the business by product and by customer

The Analyst Business is active in 3 main areas of responsibilities:

  • Business & Market monitoring
  • Financial processes :
  • Financial planning (Strategic Plan, Yearly targets, revision of targets & Monthly Forecasting)
  • Update of Prices & Rebates
  • Support for commercial offers preparation
  • Ad hoc analyses – cross functional projects and reviews

This is translated in

  • Constantly investigate the market and the environment to gather information from/on all stakeholders of Sandoz activity and inform management
  • Analyze and comment the periodical market and business results
  • Monitor new product launches : pre & post launch activities definition & coordination & KPIs definition, development
  • Examine and analyze statistical or market data to forecast future trends & business results
  • Translate market trends & stakeholder needs into supply requirement (monthly rolling forecast)
  • Manage the forecasting tool in SAP: responsible for country KPI’s (FC modeling)
  • Act as interface between Supply Chain & Sale/Marketing department in the forecasting process – ensures proper flow of information allowing all parties to act and take decisions
  • Coordinate and act in the yearly budget process and its revisions (sales plan definition – market assessment)
  • Coordinate and act in the yearly strategic plan (sales plans definition – market assessment)
  • Ensure Accuracy and Validity of prices and rebates database
  • Sales Force Effectiveness monitoring
  • Participate in multi-function project teams
  • Provide ad-hoc management reports
  • Develop, review and adapt internal control procedures (SOP’s)
  • Ensure proper organization of database set available and act as contact person with data provider
  • Act as point of contact towards HQ for the follow up of different launches and to provide local market information

Minimum requirements

EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent through experience
  • Relevant experience in audit, controlling or business consulting preferably in an international company
